Dear Alumnus,
The 4th Annual Alumni Muster will be held on campus July 9, 10, and 11. Excitement and interest in this event grows each year and it is hoped this will be the best yet. You can make it happen by returning and spending a weekend at your alma mater. How many schools give this opportunity? Sit and talk about old times, walk the halls and campus. Show your appreciation and dedication to Lyman Ward and help it stay alive in your hearts. Talk about the importance of keeping LWMA available for other young men to learn and experience lessons that prepare them for life.
It has become a tradition to perform a work project on Saturday to benefit the school. It is a small way to give back to the institution that has given so much to you. All who can are asked to participate and/or donate toward the project. A bonfire by Lake Mary will be held on Saturday night. It usually goes on for as long as the stories, firewood, and drinks will last. The weekend is strictly a time for alumni to gather, relax, and have fun. It is not intended for fundraising, although souvenirs will be available in Supply during certain hours. You can plan your arrival for Friday afternoon and departure for Sunday morning following Brunch, or if you cannot come for the entire weekend, just come for Saturday.
There is a fee of $75.00 for those who wish to stay on campus. This includes a room in Howell Hall, linens, towels, and all meals served on campus. For those who prefer to stay off campus, the fee is $50.00. This covers all meals. Three meals will be served on Saturday and brunch on Sunday. All fees are given to the school to reimburse the cost of holding the event on campus. A Muster T-shirt can be purchased for $20.00. Please order the shirt in advance if you wish to have it for the event.

Saturday meals will be served in the Dining Hall as follows: Breakfast 8:00 A.M., Lunch 12:30 P.M., Dinner 5:00. Sunday breakfast will be served at 9:00 A.M.
Service projects are voluntary, but all who can and will are asked to participate. Friday’s project will be pressure washing the Alumni Center. Pressure washing various places on campus will take place on Saturday, as well as scraping and painting handrails at the barracks. If enough time and manpower is available, other painting projects may be added. The Alumni Association is also seeking donations toward the purchase of park benches to be placed on empty concrete pads around campus. The cost of a bench is $119.00. If enough money is collected to purchase benches, they can be assembled and placed on campus. Firewood will also need to be gathered and placed down by Lake Mary for the bonfire on Saturday night. Those not able to participate in the manual labor projects can help with Museum projects, such as identifying old pictures.
Pressure washers, long water hoses, paint brushes and steel brushes for scraping handrails will be needed. The school will provide the paint.
The traditional bonfire will be held by Lake Mary on Saturday night from dusk until……. You may bring your own ice chest and lawn chair or tailgate.
Available all weekend. Enjoy!!
