You have found a special place where young men are challenged and prepared to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Since 1898, Lyman Ward has educated young people from Alabama, 49 other states, and many other nations. Our alumni serve throughout the world.
A small school, on purpose, Lyman Ward offers a fully accredited college preparatory education in a structured environment of challenge and support. Average class sizes of 10 cadets foster a great deal of faculty-student interaction. Faculty and staff serve as mentors and advisors to cadets, and strive to bring out the best in each individual.
